Exercise As A Form Of Manipulative And Body-Based Practice
Exercise is any activity that is done by an individual with the aim of achieving bodily physical fitness. The body fitness is achieved through manipulating body parts through exercise. Exercises for body fitness target body muscles that are strengthened and the body's cardiovascular system. Exercise has the potential to maintain an individual's health.
Certain diseases and illness conditions require regular exercises to hasten healing or in the management of health conditions. Exercise as a manipulative and body-based practice has been proved to be effective in achieving weight loss and in the reduction of chances of having heart and cardiovascular ailments. Exercise has been scientifically proven to be effective in the prevention of such conditions as depression and stress, resulting in good mental health. Exercising improves oxygen and blood flow to the brain, resulting in increased growth of brain nerve cells.
Exercising has also been noted to improve one's sleep. As the body becomes physically exhausted after exercising, easier sleep is attained. This results in one waking up fresh and alert as he/she exhausts all sleep.

Being overweight presents several health problems, depression being one of them. Exercising increases the levels of anandamide in the body. This acts as a antidepressant and is therefore good in relieving depression. Other benefits derived from increased levels of anandamide in the body include improved mood.
Manipulative and body-based exercise practices burn excessive fats deposited in body tissues. Accumulation of such fats in the tissues leads to the narrowing of blood vessels. This in effect results in health problems such as increased blood pressure and other heart ailments.
Exercising has been proved to have many health benefits. However, excessive and uncontrolled exercises can be dangerous to the body. Exercising wears out the body as a lot of energy is lost in the course of exercising. This energy has to be replaced through a healthy diet that is rich in minerals, vitamins and nutrients. Exercising without replenishing the body can result in health problems.
It is important for one who intends to start exercising to start with light exercises and gradually increase the intensity. Ambushing the body suddenly with vigorous exercises can cause stress to the body and result in health problems rather than benefits desired.
It is also important to maintain exercise routines so that the body becomes accustomed to it. Infrequent exercise routines result in body stress, which is dangerous. Over-exercising should also be avoided as this can lead to fast body wear.
Not all manipulative and body-based exercise practices produce the same results. While some exercises are beneficial to one part of the body, others too are beneficial to other areas of the body. One needs to ascertain what he/she aims to achieve from exercising so as to choose the appropriate exercise that will eventually produce the desired results.
Manipulative and body-based exercise practice in general aims to improve an individual in various areas. Exercising makes an individual flexible with improved coordination. Such individuals also enjoy improved agility and ability for endurance.
